March 2010 - Honours Boards Restored By Old Ashburnians
A member of the Old Ashburnian Society has arranged for the Honours Boards from 1894 to be remade to match the more recent ones and this week they have been rehung in school.

On Friday 26th June 2009, a number of students represented QEGS at the Derbyshire Dales District Athletics Championships, held at Moorsway in Derby.

April 2009 - QEGS Triumph In Derbyshire Cups
For the third year running teams from QEGS have been very successful in the Derbyshire Schools Rugby Competition.
