Jan 2012 - Engineering Diploma Sponsorship
On Friday 20 January the school were delighted to be presented with a cheque for £500 from Mr Brian Bates representing the Rotary Club of Ashbourne, one of the sponsors of the 2011-2013 Engineering Diploma course at QEGS.
Jan 2012 - Success at QEGS Sixth Form
The headline 'A Level Results at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School' is always amongst the best in England. However a recent award from ALPS (The A Level Performance System) confirms that not only are the results excellent but they represent very strong added value to already outstanding GCSE results, something that is very hard to do, and once again places the school in the top 5% in the Country for 'Value Added'.
Jan 2012 - Extended Project Qualification
The Extended Project Qualification is the equivalent of half an A level. This year has seen a small group of Sixth Formers, guided by Assistant Head of Sixth Form Mrs. Barbara Smith, enter projects for the first time.
Jan 2012 - Charity Cheque Presentation
Representatives of the Isabella Peatfield Memorial Fund visited Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School to receive a cheque for over £1200 being the proceeds of a recent non uniform day.
