Sad News – Mr Roberts
With great sadness, I have to inform the QEGS community that Dave Roberts (former QEGS member of staff and Head of Music) died peacefully over the weekend.
A very sad day for his partner, family, colleagues and students who knew him. Mr Roberts was a huge influence on so many young people’s lives musically and in their education and success both in and out of school.
A book of condolence will be available in our main reception on The Green Road site from Tuesday 7th February. We invite members of the community, ex-students and former staff to contribute messages and memories for his family to read.
Whilst many of us today have enjoyed remembering Mr Robert’s humour, we also know that some of our school community find any bereavement difficult. Therefore, support for current students and staff will be available as we experience this period of mourning.
