I am the current Head of Sixth Form and also a teacher of Business and Economics. As a student at school my passion was sport and in particular football. I went to University to study sport and business after a year of travelling in South East Asia and Australia. When I left University I took a graduate job at Enterprise Rent-a-Car with the intention of moving into a sports role somewhere else after a year or so. 9 years later I left Enterprise after being a branch manager in Derby and Stoke for 4 years and learning about how to run a business through some tough economic conditions. My time in industry really developed my passion for Business and Economics and I completed a PGCE in these subjects in 2014 having taken a year out. I joined QEGS in 2014 and established myself as one of the teacher of A level Economics early on in my career here.
I am passionate about the role our school has to play in the lives of the young people in our community and in particular at our 6th form. Preparing students for real life by doing my upmost to share my experiences is a challenge that I relish. Outside of school I have two young Children who keep me busy transporting them to millions of sporting events including 5:15 am swimming sessions.
