Congratulations to all students, staff, parents and the wider community. The report from our recent Ofsted inspection on 26th April 2018 is now available. We are really proud and pleased that Ofsted endorsed and confirmed our own judgements of our school.
Ofsted agreed with all of our judgements: ‘Good’ for Teaching, Learning and Assessment; ‘Good’ for Outcomes; ‘Outstanding’ for Personal Development, Welfare and Behaviour; ‘Outstanding’ for Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural education; ‘Outstanding’ for Sixth Form; ‘Outstanding’ for Leadership and Management resulting in the school remaining ‘Good’ overall with Safeguarding not only being ‘Effective’ but ‘a strength of the school’. The inspectors agreed with our areas for improvement and the plans we already have in place. Our staff and students were a credit to the community and in our feedback the inspectors commented on the positive atmosphere, the calm and confident learning experiences they encountered and how the students and staff confirmed this was an everyday experience at QEGS. My only disappointment was that in one day, the inspection team did not have time to see all subjects and all activities that take place here at QEGS.
A fantastic student and staff body, well supported by the community, this report makes me very proud and assured that we are doing the right things and doing them very well.
