School Uniform

Uniform Pop up Shop – Wed 21st October 2020 – click here to book an appointment.

Please see information provided by Schools In on how you can order your son/daughter’s school uniform below.

Uniform stores are open and until further notice, it will be via appointment only. Appointments will be available for each store with 10 minute appointment slots, and will be booked via the School’s In website www.schoolsinuniform.co.uk. Please make sure you are booking the store appointment for QEGS. The stores will be open for longer hours in July and August, these times will show on our appointment calendar. School’s In ask you to arrive no more than 10 minutes before your appointment, so keeping social distance to a maximum outside the store. School’s In have had to limit one parent/carer to a maximum of 2 children requiring to purchase uniform. Unfortunately, no prams or pushchairs will be able to be in store or children not requiring uniform.

The School’s In website www.schoolsinuniform.co.uk has most of your school requirements, and orders can now be placed. Please allow up to 3 weeks at the moment for delivery, School’s In will inform you of any items which may take longer than this. School’s In feel this is a great way to purchase your children’s uniform if they are existing students who have grown out of their current uniform, and you are familiar with the sizes. Please avoid ordering different sizes by guessing, as this will use up limited stock for other customers! If unsure contact School’s In for help! Unfortunately, you will be responsible for the return postage on exchanges (via Paypal invoice) or making an appointment via the School’s In website to exchange within store.

Click www.schoolsinuniform.co.uk/popupshop to book an appointment at QEGS.  School’s In will be based in the Main Hall. The same guidelines will apply as if you were purchasing in store. School’s In feel these events will be the safest environment to purchase uniform, as social distancing will be at a maximum. Pop up changing rooms will be available. This will be the ideal way for children attending QEGS for the first time to purchase uniform. School’s In would prefer payment in stores or pop up shops to be made by card payment but cash can be taken. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Dave Moulton dave@schoolsinuniform.co.uk.

School Uniform

If a student is not wearing the correct uniform, it is important this is sorted at the earliest opportunity. The table below shows how different issues are addressed. Where possible, we have a stock of clean, nearly new, spare/loan items to help students and families to meet our uniform expectations while their uniform is corrected. If your child does not have the correct uniform please write a note for them explaining the situation and saying when it will be corrected (e.g. sole fallen off shoes, buying new ones tonight). All teachers monitor uniform on a daily basis and contact home when concerns arise.

Please note, we have slightly changed our PE kit for practicality purposes and affordability prices.  The polo shirt and rugby shirt are now black and red opposed to white and red.  We have also replaced the hoodie to a smarter more practical half zip midlayer.  For existing students and those starting in September it is not a problem if you have been given pre-owned PE kit.  We fully appreciate that some students may have been given PE kit from older siblings/friends etc.  This will not be challenged and perfectly acceptable for them to wear.
