Mr Smith and four Y13 were invited to Ashbourne Primary on Friday 12th January to give a variety of half hour demonstrations to 3 different year groups of Y1, Y2 & Y3 to promote science and foster a love for learning science; as an exciting end to the afternoon on their Science day.

The classes heard about liquids and gases. They saw how to test for different gases including Carbon dioxide, and learnt how it is used in fire extinguishers. They saw liquids in a ‘coloured beakers’ demo with a succession of impressive colour changes that looked like magic- but it’s Science!

It was a fantastic afternoon and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone #qegsscience
