Section One - Question
Q1 - Ensure effective assessment for learning strategies or learning checks are used within the lesson.
Q2 - Use a range of questioning techniques during the lesson.
Q3 - Follow the departmental feedback policy consistently.
Section Two - Explore
E1 - Provide unconditional positive regard for all students with the use of our language and actions.
E2 - Use our values frequently within the lesson and look for opportunities to discuss wider learning.
E3 - Reward QEGS points appropriately for demonstrating these values.
Section Three - Give
G1 - Positively meet and greet students at the door.
G2 - Provide a Do Now activity that prepares students for learning.
G3 - Ensure students understand the learning outcomes of the lesson and provide the big picture.
Section Four - Succeed
S1 - Know all students and their needs within your class.
S2 - Provide effective scaffolding and modelling for all students’ learning.
S3 - Ensure opportunities for disciplinary literacy & numeracy are provided.
