Aug 2012 - GCSE Results 2012

Students at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School have produced excellent GCSE results.
The top 12 students have achieved an amazing total of 130 A* and A grades.
Rachel Sales took 11 subjects and gained A* in all of them. Hannah Millman gained 10A* out of 11 and James Cash achieved 9A* out of 12. The other students to achieve 10A*/A grades were Harrison Avery, Evelyn Bleach-Lawrence, Hannah Marsh, Katie Owens, Ellen Roberts, Ellen Ward, Martha Denny, Chloe Dunn and George Hodson.
Just missing out on a full house of ten were Holly Bardell, Lorna Dean, James Dickinson, Kieran MacDonald, Poppy Tate, Eleanor Wainwright and Anna Williams, who all gained 9 of the top grades.
Pride of place for the subject goes to Mathematics and History. In Maths 31% of papers were graded A* or A and in History 50% were graded A* or A. There were also very strong results in Religious Studies, English Literature, Expressive Arts and Business Studies.
