    Enrichment Week 16-20 July 2018  

    QEGS PE Dept. Mr Farr ic

    Sport, Walking & Orienteering Activities

    Mon Tues Wed & Thurs.

    On & off site. No cost.

    Plenty of energy & enthusiasm needed

    (Seriously. If you intention is not to be active or you are unable to be active, see Mrs Bains for an alternative option asap)

    Meeting place every day. Sports hall 8.50am for registration. Don’t be late.

    Program

    Mon 16 July.  All American Sports Day at QEGS

    Lunch at school. A very active day! Bring a water bottle. Come in PE kit, trainers etc

    Over the day you will rotate in groups to different sports from the USA delivered QEGS Sport style!

    1. American Football. Outdoor. Flag Football, non contact version played in American playgrounds & parks

    2. Ice Hockey. Indoors looking a lot like unihoc but with a ‘puck’

    3. Basketball. Indoors An already popular team game here at QEGS

    4. Baseball. Outdoors. Softball with a few Baseball rule added in

    5. Ultimate Frisbee. Outdoors. A beach game that is now has International Championships!

    3.55pm finish

     

     

     

    Tues 17 July . Navigation Walk from Hartington to QEGS.

    12 Mile all day walk after being taken to Hartington bus at 9am. Back at school for 3.55pm

    Bring packed lunch, drinks & snacks. A small amount of money for an ice cream?

    Wear suitable clothing & footwear for a walk on country paths.

    Bring a hat, sun cream/lotion for you to apply yourself during the day.

    Wed 18 July. Orienteering & more Sports

    1. Orienteering at Bradley Wood. Half Day

    2. Beach Volleyball & Extreme Golf on QEGS fields Half Day

    Split into 2 groups first thing and swop over at lunchtime

    Lunch at school. A very active day! Bring a water bottle. Come in PE kit, trainers etc

    Thurs 18 July  Orienteering & half day walk

    Orienteering at Ilam Hall then Navigation Walk back to QEGS

    Taken to Ilam by bus first thing. Cover Orienteering Course over the morning. Picnic in the Ilam Hall grounds then walk 6 miles back to QEGS. Return for 3.55pm
